Four Moscow schools today, on 7th of September, hosted the second round of the Olympiad of Metropolises. This time the teams had to tackle the tasks of theoretical tour of the physics and chemistry, as well as the second part of the tasks in mathematics and informatics.
Just like the first round school №2030 was waiting for physicists, experts in informatics went to lyceum №1560, school №1329 prepared for chemists and mathematics settled in gymnasium №1514.
In addition to task in English there are tasks translated into the native languages of the teams. In the morning before the tour team leaders check the tasks for the linguistic relevance.
It took 4,5 hours for chemists and mathematicians to complete the tasks, the tasks in physics and informatics were solved in 5 hours. In the afternoon participants are going to visit museums.
Checking has begun immediately after the first round. Tomorrow, September 8, in the second half of the day there will be browsing of works and appeals procedure.
The Olympiad of Metropolises is held in Moscow from 4 to 9 September. The competition involves teams of schoolchildren from 22 major cities and capitals of the world. Olympiad is held in four subjects: informatics, mathematics, physics and chemistry. Each team consists of 8 students (2 players for each subject) and 3 team leaders. The competitions take place in capital's schools.
